Meet our Angels

Le Spa’s High School Prom Angel

Le Spa High School Prom AngelSophie Rudloff, a senior at Hilton Head Preparatory School, is a Senior Prefect and president of the Interact Club. She was nominated to be an Angel because of her kindness and involvement in helping others. She constantly reaches out to others, whether to build school spirit or make new students feel welcome. Her hope is that all people will be accepted for who they are and that everyone will get along. Her senior Certificate of Excellence project presents strategies to incorporate Special Needs students into school, and she spends her summers volunteering at a camp for children with Spina Bifida. Sophie was treated to Prom Dazzle hairdo for her prom on April 22.

Thanking our Hurricane Heroes

LeSpa donated 20 gift certificates for one service each to the Fire & Rescue Department to thank the many heroes from Hurricane Matthew. The Department’s Chief is holding drawings to award these Le Spa Angel gifts, valued at more than $2000, to 20 of these worthy heroes. Here are two of our new Angels and what they remember about that traumatic time.

Le Spa recognizes outstanding individuals by honoring them as “Angels,” and treating each to a massage of their choice, a pedicure, and lunch.

Meet our newest Angel Edith Reed. We think Edith is an Angel for providing 24-hour care for 8 years to her mother, Mary, who had Alzheimers and recently passed. We treated Edith to some well-deserved pampering for her selfless actions, and we honor her as a LeSpa Angel.

Angel Maggie Clark is a single mom and social worker for Hospice Care of the Lowcountry. She is working and raising her daughter, Olivia, as she battles ovarian cancer. Maggie has had two surgeries and is now undergoing chemotherapy. We feel that she deserves some TLC, and will treat her to a massage of her choice, a pedicure, and lunch.  Maggie was nominated by her friend,Sandra Poteete.

Angel Mary Ellen Rizzo being given a pedicure by Jennifer Valentin. She also received a massage from Ariel Brewer. Mary was referred to us by Betsy Doughtie from The Deep Well Project. She has been battling breast cancer for the past year and continues her treatments.

Elise Witman is Le Spa’s second Angel. Nominated by her friend, Amanda Schultz, Elise is a single mom who works several jobs to provide for her daughter, Ella Grace. Elise has been so busy taking care of others that she rarely takes time for herself.

As Linda battled a rare stomach cancer, her husband unexpectedly died of a heart attack. Throughout this adversity, she has continued to run her interior design firm, Seasons, while being a selfless, loving and caring mother. Linda exemplifies the spirit of our Angel Program.
